Good morning! I couldn't sleep any longer. I just had to start the day! It's finally here. The day that Quilt Sue reveals Part 3 of the Festive Mystery Quilt right here on my blog. If you're ready to quiltalong and enjoy the party, make sure you link up at the bottom of this page. We can share what we're doing all day long!
I'm the guest host today and am thrilled to have you join me for the festivities. But first, let's give a round of applause to Quilt Sue for this wonderful quiltalong! You will be so impressed with this project and her excellent instructions. She is an amazing and wonderful person, quilter, author, blogger, and so on. Her blog was actually one of the first I ever visited and I tagged right on to the Christmas Quiltalong 2011. Now we're into the 2012 Christmas Quiltalong and full speed ahead!
Keep those hands clapping for past guest hosts Hazel at Hazel's Quilts and to Joanna at Needles, Thread, Happiness. Please drop by and visit them today to say hello and to get the instructions for Part 1 (Hazel) or Part 2 (Joanna) that are posted from when they hosted. They've set the bar pretty high for this little blogger! (Instructions for all three parts can also be found on the tabs at the top of this page).
Of course I'm up before the sun and the house is still a little chilly so I whipped up some quick cinnamon rolls to take the chill off.
My friend Chip made these the other day at one of our Chip and Dale quilting days and she was sweet enough to share the recipe that she found right here.
And what goes great with a cinamon roll? A cup of home brewed flavored coffee. Of course I took out my good Christmas china because today I have company! Don't you love my Santa plant? It arrived as a Christmas gift from a good friend and it seems to be flourishing!
I have to get busy now. You're all waiting patiently for the instructions. I'm in such a hurry, I'm staying in my jammies. Gotta love flanelette!
OK, to be honest, my jammies aren't quite like these, but wouldn't these be perfect for our Christmas Quilalong Pajama Party?
Now the the Big Reveal! Click on the line HERE and you'll get transported to the Google document with the instructions for Part 3.
If for some reason this doesn't work for you, email me at lcarruthers3@gmail.com and I'll send you the instructions.
GIVEAWAY you ask! Yes, I have Christmas fabrics to give away. I purchased some beautiful Christmas fabrics at a very good price at my LQS in Antigonish, Harbour Quilt Company. I have two sets of Christmas Fat Quarters to send off as giveaways.
Two winners. Each one will win a set of these 6 fat quarters. How to win? Leave a comment on this blog post. That's it. No hoops. One chance per person. It would be nice if you tell me where you are visiting from, but you don't have to in order to qualify! Deadline for the giveaway draw is Tuesday, April 17 by 12:00 midnight, AST.
It's a great day for quilting.

Mmmm, those cinnamon rolls do look lovely. Sadly, quilting just isn't on my agenda right now, too much to do with a house/garden renovation but I keep a close eye on what Sue and Hazel are up to so will be checking back every now and again to see what sort of day you are having :}
