Our troupe included Linda from Scrapmaster, Sheila from Sheila's Quilt World, and Karen from KaHolly. We were also joined by Linda's daughter Niki, and quilty friend Beth. Each of the quartet members has published a blog post about the day so please visit them to see more quilty goodness! I borrowed this picture from Karen's blog to share. Left to right, Karen, Linda, Me, and Sheila.
I took a few pictures that day. So much inspiration!
You may recognize the pattern of the last quilt. This was designed by Kaaren of The Painted Quilt...a free pattern that you can find on her blog.
A few more quilty delights!
There were lots of displays of quilted items made from challenges or as a result of the guild's workshops they have throughout the year. These miniatures were breathtaking!
Lots of bags and pillows:
The next quilt was reversible, an unbelievable creation that won The Viewer's Choice Award that day. The first picture is actually the back of the quilt. Amazing!
Sheila had several entries in the show. Her work is superb! Here are just a few of her items I captured on camera...
We were all enamored by Sheila's small hanging. Look at that stitching!
When we had exhausted the aisles, we went for tea and exchanged our challenge pillows. My gorgeous pillow was made by Karen. I wear a lot of black, grey, and white so it sure matches what I was wearing that day. Karen's workmanship is perfection! Thank you so much, Karen, I love it! To see all the other pillows, visit Linda's blog HERE.
Next year we are going to do round robin quilts. We'll each make a 12" block and then add borders to each others blocks. Can't wait!
We always have so much fun when we get together. Thanks for sharing the day with us! It's a great day for quilting!
